I wrote an article on eHow: How to complete sealing of the basement. This is a DIY area. I sell anything, just sharing my knowledge. I try a few details below. Read this article if you have a wealth of information and can begin. Even if you do not, you understand the process.

From the article:

If the water seepage in your basement is a possible problem, the steps that will complete the waterproofing are less involved. Waterproofing basement walls with masonry waterproofing sealer, followed by painting in general do the job.

Start by cleaning the affected foundation walls with a wire brush and a solution of household cleaner. Remove dirt and dust more than possible. A clean surface allows for better waterproofing sealer will stick to the walls.

Masonry Sealants are sold in hardware stores. The sealant is packaged in paint cans or buckets. These sealants have a thick consistency and can be messy, so be prepared. Enter a watertight sealthe walls and make sure that you are all on the surface. Make sure you covered with mortar joints. You can try to apply the sealer with a paint roller. Although this work can also use a brush to fill some bare areas.

Let the first coat of sealer to dry completely. Then a second layer. Again, ensure that the coverage is comprehensive and poetry.

You can then paint on the walls for insulation appearance. Consider the color of paint with a masonry waterproof. Achieve the best results, first apply a primer and paint.
